We have arranged a fit testing session for students on Friday April 26 2024, in NW04 room 2100 at BCIT Burnaby Campus, and will take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. Annual fit testing is required for health care providers.

N95 Fit Test Information

We will provide one of the three healthcare models (3M 1870+, 1860s, and 1860 respirators) for your fit test.

If you have done a fit test before, please memorize your model number and/or bring your old card/certificate.

If you feel cold/flu symptoms, email dchow@basiclifesavingskills.com and you will be issued a refund. Please do not attend this session if you are feeling ill.

Before your fit test, please ensure you do not eat, drink (except for water), chew gum, vape, or smoke, at least 20 minutes before your test. You must remove any facial hair that comes between the seal of the mask and your skin, as per CSA Standard Z94.4 clause 7.1.5. If the individual is not clean shaven, we cannot conduct the fit test.
